Traffic fines drop in 2010

The traffic police have pocketed 299 million kunas (40 million Euros) from fines in 2010, a significant decrease over the previous two years. The record is held by 2008 when law-breaking drivers paid 326 million kunas (44.3 million Euros) towards the state budget.Zagreb residents were the biggest contributors to the fine pot last year, an expected fact considering they form the majority of Croatia's drivers.
