Croatia marks 150th anniversary of first railway


Croatian Railways start activities to mark 150 years since the first train arrived at the first station in Croatia.On 24 April 1860 the train line from Nagykaniza in Hungary to Kotoriba - Zagreb was opened ushering in the beginning of Croatia's railway network.The celebration for the 150th anniversary will be held on Saturday, 24 April, at the railway station in Kotoriba in northern Croatia, Croatian Railways have announced.The programme in Kotoriba will include the arrival of a special train from Zagreb and Hungary, and numerous musical and cultural programmes.
