Most Croatians believe that Nike gives them the best quality for price when it comes to sports clothing, according to research conducted by Best Buy Award Croatia and GfK market research agency.Adidas is in second place and falls behind by only one percent. After these come Puma, Kappa and Reebok.Mirjana Pelaic, the director of Best Buy Awards says: "Nike is according to data and sports clothing sales number one in Croatia. In some categories, the results of the survey coincide with consumption (as is the case with Nike), while in some other categories, people consider something else a better buy but decide to purchase a different product because of the price."The research was conducted on a sample of 800 people. In the category of women's clothing, Croatian women gave most votes to Nike, Adidas, Puma, Reebok and in fifth place, local manufacturer Borovo."Borovo is a positive surprise, but not only in this category," Pelaic said. Borovo is also high on the list of "shoe store chains" which Croatians perceiving it as offering the best ratio of price and quality.Obviously Croatian citizens have a high opinion of the value offered by Borovo, Pelaic concludes.When it comes to brands of sports shoes and sports clothing, women tend to name more brands. Men are more inclined towards the strongest brand names and do not think about the others, while women appreciate more the diversity of choices, the Croatian daily Vecernji List writes.
