Goverment abolishes free transportation for Parliamentary representatives


The free public transportation for parliamentary representatives will be abolished and monument annuity will be decreased by 50 percent, with total savings of 120 million kunas (16.5 million Euros), it was decided today (Thu) at a government session in Zagreb.Starting in July, plavi dizel fuel (blue diesel fuel) – partially subsidized by the government for large agricultural producers and fisherman – will be bought exclusively with a special card on which each person's limit would be noted.The government has also established a committee to monitor the sales of shipyards 3.Maj, Brodogradjevna Industrija Split and Brodotrogir under special conditions.Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor said that for those shipyards for which a buyer cannot be found, plan B has been prepared, the Croatian daily Vecernji List reports.
