Man fakes robbery to cover bet losses

A man from Dubrovnik-Neretva County village Kula Norinska has faked his own robbery to cover up gambling losses.The 30-year-old construction worker told the police that two men had robbed him of 2,300 kunas (310 Euros) as he was walking home on Monday night. He sought medical attention in Dubrovnik hospital where he was treated for minor injuries.The police investigation established, however, that the money which the worker received as his salary that day was spent on betting, the daily 24 Sata writes.
